Ginger (Dried) Spagyric Tincture
Spagyric tinctures are prepared through an alchemical process that honours the full anatomy of the plant: the spirit, soul, and body. The volatile oils (soul), water & alcohol-soluble components (spirit), and purified mineral salts (body) are individually separated, refined, and then intentionally reunited. The result is a living preparation, not merely an extract, that carries the full life-force and signature intelligence of the plant in an exceptionally bioavailable form.
All of our herbal extracts use organically grown and/or ethically wildcrafted herbs and certified organic food-grade ethanol diluted to specific potencies in filtered and/or distilled rainwater, unless otherwise specified.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a member of the ginger (Zingiberaecea) family, thriving in mostly subtropical environments. Dried ginger root is traditionally used to warm the internal body compared to its fresh counterpart which is revered more-so for use in promoting sweating and expulsion of mucous. In turn, dried ginger extract is an excellent warming emmenagogue (gently stimulating pelvic blood flow) and digestive stimulant, traditionally used for stomach colds, nausea, internal weakness, low vitality related to coldness, cold-spasmodic cramping and slow or sluggish menstruation.
By this regard, dried ginger can help warm and move stagnancy within the body, correcting any swamp-like environment where infectious microbes proliferate. Secondary to correcting the internal damp(cold) environment, ginger can assist in the elimination and cleanup of endotoxins released by coliform bacteria, while supporting immunity and acting as a synergist to other herbs within a formula.
NOTE: In normal pregnancy, gentle pelvic circulation is not dangerous and can actually be supportive to prevent stagnation. However, if you are pregnant and/or breast-feeding it is important to always seek medical advice before taking herbal medicines.

For example, if a patient had a condition characterised by excessive heat, such as a fever, Galenic physicians would prescribe remedies with cooling or cold properties to counterbalance the excess heat. Similarly, if a condition was considered excessively moist, treatments with drying or astringent properties would be employed.
